Job Description :
Purpose & Objectives :
The engineers will be engaged on HANA Core development. The objective is to build a strong core HANA database development team in Pune that can undertake development tasks related to the HANA product. There would be two engineers at T2 (Developer) level and one engineer at T3 (Senior Developer) level.
Expectations and Tasks :
1. Design new subsystems for HANA
2. Fix defects with existing subsystems in HANA.
3. Implement / Code development projects that adhere to the design.
4. Conduct functional, performance and stress testing of the subsystems developed.
Education and Qualifications / Skills and Competencies :
- Proficiency in systems programming using C/ C++. Java experience desirable
- Unix / Linux platform experience is a must. Windows experience desirable
- Exposure to multi-user, multi-threading, kernel level programming. SQL programming desirable
- Knowledge of DBMS internals such as query processing, access methods internals,transaction management, process scheduling and networking desirable
- Experience in RDBMS Development and Performance Engineering desirable
Desired Profile :
Work / Experience :
- B.E / B.Tech (CS) with 2 to 8 years experience
- M.Tech (CS/IT) with 0 to 6 years experience
- M.Tech students that will graduate from IIT, IIIT Hyderabad, BITS Pilani in June, 2013
- would be preferred for the 2 developer positions.
